Centerless grinding is often applied for manufacturings and parts requiring abrasive material removal. It is called "centerless" since there is centering involved or any spindle or fixture used to hold the workpiece. The material is just secured between two wheels (grinding wheel and regulating wheel) which rotate at opposing directions but with relative speed.
