The hydrogen storage performance of the MgH 2 /SWNT composite prepared under an optimal condition, i.e. 5 wt.% SWNTs and milling for 10 h, was further investigated. As shown in Fig. 6, the composite could desorb about 6.1 wt.% hydrogen within 5 min at 623 K, and pure MgH 2 could only desorb 4.1 wt.% hydrogen within 60 min at the same conditions.
