The mill I'm using is a 1983 Taiwanese "Select" mill. It's a knee type and looks quite rigid although I know it's a light duty machine. There appears to be about .008" backlash in the screws, which I take into account whenever I move the table in the X and Y direction. I got the mill new and hasn't seen any abuse or overloading.
